Dr. ʿAbdulilāh Lahmāmī gives some beneficial advice to the brothers in the Philippines.
This advice was given on the 29th of September 2019 corresponding with the 30th of Muharram 1441H
:السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته. الحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله، أما بعد❞
My advice, In Shā Allāh, to our brothers, yaʻnī (meaning), in the Philippines, in this morning, which is 29th September 2019; the 30th of Muḥarram, 1441.
Then first and foremost, (my advice) is to be serious in studying, be sincere in studying - by being serious. Ikhlāṣ (sincerity) is important in everything that we say and do because actions will not be accepted unless it fulfills two conditions Ikhlāṣ (sincerity) and Ittibāʿ (following). So being sincere in everything that we say and do. We are short, we fall short, we are human.
كُلُّ ابْنِ آدَمَ خَطَّاءٌ, وَخَيْرُ اَلْخَطَّائِينَ اَلتَّوَّابُونَ
(Every son of Ādam commit sins, and the best of the sinners are those who frequently repent)
But we be repentful on a daily basis. Return to Allāh سبحانه وتعالى on a daily basis. Morning and evening remembering Allāh, remembering Allāh much, more than remembering our parents, more than remembering our Dunyā (worldly) affairs. Remember Allāh much because He is the one who created us and He is the one who we will return (to). And remembering Allāh will help you and me, keep Shayṭān at bay - keep him far away. Dhikr (remembrance), the Dhikr Allāh (remembrance of Allāh) keep Shayṭān away. To be serious in studying. First with the Qurʾān and the Arabic and to strive your utmost in that and likewise to follow that up with righteous actions and be examples. We are few in number, but as Allāh سبحانه وتعالى said:
وَقَلِيلٌ مِنْ عِبَادِي الشَّكُورُ
Few of My slaves are grateful.[1]
So be of the few that are grateful and Allāh سبحانه وتعالى will raise you many levels. So May Allāh سبحانه وتعالى aid us in learning the Qurʾān, the (Sūrah) Fātiḥah, the last Juz (part of the Qurʾān) - Juz ʿAmma - the... at least, and furthermore, the Forty Ḥadīth (of an-Nawawī). Knowing how to recite them, to read them correctly.
May Allāh سبحانه وتعالى protect us and aid us and forgive us our shortcomings.
❝والسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
